The Anti-Grownup Revolution!

Cyndi Lauper – Girls Just Want To have Fun

That’s right, you heard me – I don’t want to grow-up!

Do you ever have moments like that?
When you really wish you could turn the clock back and wake up to breakfast at your parents’ place?

Yeah, sometimes I have moments like that.

I was watching a repeat of the Cyndi Lauper interview on The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos (¨Canada´s boyfriend”) and he mentioned that it had been 25 YEARS since Cyndi had released “Girls Just Want To have Fun” – the all-time favourite girl anthem for girls everywhere.

25 YEARS???

What??? When did 25 years pass me by?

Oh what a weird thought – I could have had a 25 year old child by now. Well, if I would have gotten knocked up VERY young….lol.

Oh and Cyndi Lauper was going on in the interview about being a HOCKEY MOM to her son who seems to be in his 20s. How weird is that?

Well, it just got me thinking.

I want to be like the girl in her song –
“I want to be the one to walk in the sun…”

I just want to have FUN.

So how about I turn the clock and we pretend it’s still the 80s?

Hmmm maybe a Girls Night Out would be just the thing – yeah!

We’ll tease our hair, put the glossy lipstick and funky shades on and celebrate the 80s.

So how about it, girlfriends? Who’s in?? 🙂

Maybe that’s how I can get this Anti-Grownup Revolution started…
for a night at least.

Anima Blue 😉

Video Montage: The Flow
Following the flow of the universe, with a photo montage I created. The song is "Twisted Hair" by Robbie Robertson & The Red Road Ensemble, featuring the sublime operatic voice of Sioux singer Bonnie Jo Hunt, who sings over the sound of crickets.
